Today/Yesterday
The day after yesterday.That’s exactly when I promised to have my column in.It wasn’t until much later that I realized the day after yesterday is really today, no matter which day you say it on.This puts a new spin on the old saying, ‘today is the tomorrow I worried about yesterday,’ because if the day after yesterday is really today, when will tomorrow get here?Those of us on deadlines could really use this type of thinking to our advantage.Wouldn’t it be great to THINK that you never really have a deadline?This would remove a lot of pressure and stress from you and allow your work to flow freely and effortlessly.On the other hand, it may just be another procrastination tactic or excuse, which may spell trouble for the artist in you, not to mention the chequebook.The joy of it is that you get to choose.It makes it seem like you are your own boss, which you will be if you don’t meet the deadline.So you see, you just cannot win.However, you know what they say, winning isn’t everything….
